it reall only went this far b/c the people who built it did such a horrible job of.... everything except the rear bags. it only had rear shock set up , and only one of the shocks actually worked... the wiring was all chopped up, and the switch box for the air is another mess i still have to sort through. most everything that was welded on was done by at least 2 people, you can tell b/cif it looks ok on one side, its all ugly on the other. the brakes are all worn down so bad, i'm surprised it is still in as good of shape as it is on the outside. the frame has been kinda rough but i've worked most of that out. the shocks have been sorted out, and woll be finished today. i'm also picking up a new set of trd 18" brake lines for the fron rotors so they can clear the front shocks. i pretty much bought a bagged toyota shell with a decent set of rims and tires for $1500. excited to frive it... way more than if i had just replaced the motor like i thought it was gonna be when i brought it home, cuz it'll be like new and i can say that i did 95% of the work myself woth some help from my moms b/f (he made the front shock mounts, and is rebuilding the new motor and has given me an almost -not that i really need what he doesnt have it would just be easier, fully equiped shop, has been kickin' knowledge in my face, and making sure this thing performs like a champ. estimated completion date is hopefully in august cuz i really want to take it to summer slam in arlington on the 20th... other wise i have to wait til next year to show it. i also dont want to be finishing it in the rainy season of portland, which really only gives me til the end of sept. at the latest.

Yeah it is looking good for sure. You are doing some good work and will be worth it once you are done. What you going to do about paint? You going to repaint it or keep it as is?

i'm going to have to repaint it cuz they used rattle can after they shaved the doors, and i syill have to shave the gas door, but i'm keeping the green thats on it and i'm gonna do the top black with some yellow. i need to start looking for old 80's toyota graphics so i can take those designs and make something cool out of it all while keeping it "toxic". i think if i get this job i'm supposed to get i'll take my mom in a few weeks to pick out some leather for the dash and door panels and the arm rest on the console. she's got the hook up on a place local for good fabrics, and she's doing the interior. but i jst spent the very last of my money until i get a job on driving roughly 75 miles roundtrip to pick up a set of braided stainless trd brake lines just to get them home and find out they wont even work. i knew $20 was too good to be true... at least my front shock mounts are almost done since i been gone all day and i found that i gained some turning radius also.

thanks to this awesome pacific nw weather we are still having this year, i'll be working more on my oregon tan than painting my truck until tuesday at least. and why dont i live in cali anymore??? oh thats right some ******* m-_-_- f_-_-_- keep breaking into my girls car. last year (stolen on a sunday around lunch time) they took the car went on a joyride, dumpedit a few blocks from the house. all they took was old insurance cards and oil change receipts. they left it there for 4 weeks unlocked and never went back to it. this year they broke in, tried to steal the car, took the faceplate for the deck (they tried to get the rest of it but failed.), my 1000w amp, 2-12"s in a bandpass box, her sunglasses, and a peace sign necklaxce she had wrapped around the rearview. police thought they found a girls prints on the car, and neighbors say they saw a young guy on a vicycle with a girl and a big huge box on the front. he told the neighbors he just had to get the subs home... i bet he did. f'd up the ignition on the car really bad and the dash too. sad thing was everyone in the house was awake yet again. so expect security on the toxic toy to be outlandishly overboardto the point of a south african (outlawed mind you worldwide) car alarm with n electric twist if you so much as get within 2 feet of my truck. i'll create a new "calvin p*$$*ng" sticker. him peein' on a bagged toyota and getting zapped with 220 amps with a slightly different look on his face. dont say i didnt warn you. more pics later, but i gotta get dressed and hit the shop for another day. today we flip the frame over and remove the leaf spring welds that were cut poorly. at least i have all the paint gear i need. got a canister for my old gun and 2 new guns, and some satin black for the frame and maybe some of the interior too. might even use it on the body... we'll see.

so today is the last of cleaning the frame!!! 2mrw or maybe later today the frame is getting painted along with the airtank and a few other parts that are still old paint... by friday or sooner i should have a complete rolling chassis again, then between friday and sunday i should have the motor and trans back in it, and depending on if i get this job 2day or not next week will be dedicated entirly to finishing the cab....i mat even finish the truck before my deadline except for replacing the brakes, which could happen also. SUPER STOKED TO SEE IT FINISHED. I'LL TRY TO GET THE NEW PICS UP LATER.

So i decided on 3 coats of paint on the frame, which means one more coat on the bottom before we flip it back over amd i get to paint the top, then re-assemble the suspension. Keep in mind when you get to the frame pics post paint, that it really does no justice with out seeing it in person.
