That looks very agressive! Is that an intercooler in the grille?

Yes, it is. The build up thread (impressive) is under the '84-'88 section (obviously), it's amazing what Yota Trip did with it!

SD, you gonna go for the Rodeo valance too?

yup..... got it in the garage.... ill be working on mounting it tomorrow.

working on getting the wheel done too. hopefully ill be stuffing the 8's in the front and getting the 205/50's slapped on all the way around too.

might also remove the bed to have the new cross member placed in, and mount in the rear sway bar. if i do, ill make sure to capture every step of the way...... all you 2wd guys might wanna get yourselves a 90-95 4Runner rear sway bar from your local salvage yard..... im gonna do my best to make this a "bolt-on" application with as little material cost as possible. :waytogo:

    Sweet!

Appealing for me in two ways; my Toyota, and the fact that my backup car is a '95 Rodeo, Maybe later I'll try that using a junk Rodeo...

    SD,

Great work on the wheels. I cant wait to see how the valance looks with the chrome bumper. Bet it will look great.:waytogo:

The pic of your truck on the lift looks great also. Your truck has the perfect stance.

thanks guys..... i played with the valance today and i had to do a bunch of trimming since my brackets were off a 88 going on a 86............ there is a difference.

however, i played with it and got the bumper mounted and the valance mocked up. :D

i need to find a way to secure the valance to the bumper cleanly...... ill be working on that on the days to come.

waiting to clean up the timing cover i salvaged out of Manny's old blown 22R from his 82...... apparently it had a newer laser block in it so the timing cover fit right on to mine. once i get the cover cleaned up the water and oil pumps will go in as well as the oil pan. just waiting on the flywheel from LCE to come in so i can drop in the block and connect it to the tranny.

The timing cover is supposed to be bolted to the block when it gets decked! It has to be the same height so the head will be able to sit down flat. I don't know how you would fix that...?

I hope your machinist can find a way to do it clean. That would SUCK to have to disassemble it, have it cut, clean again, and reassemble! There is nothing I hate worse than forgetting an important step in a build! When I rebuilt my carb, I found an "extra" part after I had it back together. Had to completely tear it back down!

    thanks guys. appreciate the compliments.

as of late its been at idle with no funds for the new head and cam. i "could" just slap the old head on and have it redone but, with the motor going this far, i just cant turn back. im hoping that by this week ill at least have it ordered. once it comes in...... it'll be full speed ahead :headbang:
