    Love all the looks

    Wow... pretty drastic changes there.

Glad to hear you got those rims bored. Just curious, How much did you pay?

Also, what kind of tonneau did you end up scoring?

Not exacly sure what type of cover it is. I only saw it a couple of times when I met the guy a month or so ago. But its an over rail type and completely flat. I had the wheels done at mc motorsports in ontario, it cost $20 a wheel. Im not sure if I like the spacers in the rear, so I may have them do the back wheels too.

    x2

    good find!!!

Also, boring the rears is a good idea. Yes the wheels are staggered but you can still rotate the wheels if you wanted to. I did, (can't really tell 1/2" difference).

Yeah I probably will get the back done too. Just picked up my cover, its a gaylords cover. How hard are they to install, as far as locating the struts.

If its a hard cover the rails should already have the mounting points for the struts. When I installed my cover I flipped it over in the yard and clipped it to rails then sat it on truck. Made sure it was lined up as good as it would get. Unlatched rear to open cover and then bolted it to the bed rails in the rear then the front then hooked up struts.

So a couple of updates. I picked up the bed cover and got it mounted. I just need to get new locks for it. I actually drove it again. And today I picked up a set of spindles and shocks. Once I get it smogged I will be able to drive it again.

Post pics of that tonneau cover if you can. I have never seen one. I am about to buy a new one at full retail and at that price I would actually like to see one on the same model truck as mine.

here is a pic of mine. It is not an actually toyota fit cover it came off a 97 sonoma so the corners on yours should actually meet and round over the corners of the bed

Thanks! I have seen yours before though. I am interested in seeing specifically the gaylord tonneau on our trucks.

So today I drove it down the block to check it out. This week I installed my belltech spindles and shocks. Then I found major clearance issues withe the wheels and strut arm bolts. So after fighting with it for the weekend I said screw it and unflipped the ball joints and the issues went away. It rode alot better with the spindles and shocks than before flipped with one blown offroad shock and no shock. Hopefully tomorrow I will get it smogged and finish my registrartion so I can drive it again.

So a little update. So Almost two weeks ago I sold my 4runner, so I had to get the truck smogged. I tried a couple of places and they wouldnt because of my header (passed visual the 3 previous times) so a co worker told me of a place where it would pass for sure. So I have been driving it off and on since (bought another car). After driving it for the week I discovered that my alignment sucked (destroyed my front tires quickly). So yesterday I got it aligned and got two new 225/40's for the front. After the new tires and alignement it drives great. It rubs when I hit dips at speed (either need to get spacers or bfh clearance the front). So I drove it to magic mountain area for a wedding and from what I could figure got 25mpg.

Well I figure its rubbing cause the tires are wide, cause there is no rubbing when I had a spare on. But thats no longer my biggest issue as I belive I have (or its going to ) blown my head gasket. The oil and coolant havent mixed in the oil. But I have coolant and oil dripping down the side of the block. So today I ordered a head gasket and bolt kit from engbldr and will see if that fixes it (really dont want to pull and rebuild the engine).
