So I was reading about your electrical issues and I figured I would put in my 2 cents. Why not just start over? Get a Painless Performance harness and just re-do it.

That is the plan. I pulled it in the garage and started to get everything organised. The bitch is coming apart. After I pull everything out, clean and smooth the engine bay I can fix the wiring and everything else.

It is a complete tear down and start over. Plus I need some parts.

    I need a 5 speed, at this point I don't care which one. w50 - w58
    A bed and tail lights
    A header and exhaust
A Webber or some side drafts
    Ignition

That is all I can think of right now.

Oh and Byker what year did that Rodeo valance come off of ?? I want to do one for my truck.

And here we are, safe and sound in the garage. Put her right in the middle of the garage. I hope she is comfortable, since she won't be leaving the garage for at least 6 mo's or so.

And about a hour later. Rad, carb, intake, alot of hoses, throttle cable and alt bracket all out of the way.

Since this is my 1st time breaking down a 20r, I had to lable and bag some things. I got some other questions and stuff I still need to ask. But I'll ask them in the engine section.

Got some more work done today. The engine is ready to come out, I just need to get my engine stand back from my friend.

So everything is loose and ready, in the mean time I'll concentrate on taking out the master and clutch cylinders. What ever brake and other lines, electrical stuff I can get out.

Once again I am at work and can't post the pics but I think I know why my alt is all ways throwing my charge light. I'll put the pics of the wiring and the alt in the engine section. It does not look right to me.

Also everything is coming out the engine bay, since one of my friends is going to lend me his sand blaster. I'll have to come up w/ something for the engine bay. I know after sand blasting I'll have to prime it to prevent flash rust, the question is what do I use on top of the primer ? Paint, or can I Rhinoline or undercoat it ? I obviously don't want to do this again so long lasting and good looks are important.

    THE 79' IS DEAD !!

I am done w/ it. My A.D.D. got the best of me. I am over it and now looking for a 84 to 88 ex cab truck. Besides I ran accross a deal on parts that I could not pass up. So now I have to look for another truck.
