This is kinda a long term project. Been working too much and been doing a little work on the truck whenever I got spare time. Anyways, heres what I've done so far.

FREE!!! welder from craigslist. Not the greatest but it was free. Good enough for little sheet metal patches.

Patching the antenna hole. I also plugged up the holes for the side mirror. I hate how it sits in the middle of the door with the vent windows. gonna push the mirror forward a little and change to one piece glass.

Gonna get new mirrors. Sorry but im keeping the old ones as spares. New ones cost about $250 a piece. Keeping the same style mirrors just pushing them forward.

Once I finish all the body work, I'm gonna block it and prime it one more time to make sure the body is straight. Planning on pulling the motor so I can paint the engine bay and rebuild the engine.

its funny, i knew that was over in the islands when i saw the first picture. then looked at your info. lol. its gorgeous out there. and the truck is looking pretty good. any reason why you didnt swap to 4wd fenders? other than shipping costs. truck will look good if you dump it down low with those steelies.

I thought about 4 wheel fenders but decided to keep it the way it is. Thats how it came from the factory and thats how its staying. If you noticed I also have the japan bed and not the cali bed that usually comes on the xcab. No one here wants to sell their bed and if you do find one, its probably rusted. I was told by a guy I met that I have a rare model??? I have the moon roof, power mirrors, 5speed, with a bench seat. He was checking my vin number and everything. I dunno??? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

well over here i see them about 50/50 and never thought to notice if the cab makes a difference. i really like the jap beds on older minis. adds some character to them.

Wassup! Dis my first 80s toy truck. I used to be into Nissan. I havent been on a cruise long time. The last time was when I just painted my nissan xcab. then the truck was sold a few months after. I believe I was the first to mold 4x4 fenders in the bed here in hawaii. I could be wrong.

Well sounds like you have some SR5 options. The moonroof is one and I'm thinking the power windows. That's probably why he is saying it's a rare model. Truck looks good, keep it up.

damn thats 1 good looking hard body and i normally dont like the pre frontier nissans

as for the options package, i beleave pretty much the 84-95 trucks had all sorts of options, pretty much the buyer could order and build there own truck.

my current 87 is my 2nd 87 base but its got things that my other 87 base didnt have and vise versa
