Toyota Pickup, you are ready for takeoff. Proceed down runway 22RE. Use plenty of throttle at your discretion. Have a nice flight.

Any updates on this? I finally have a better understanding of the tuning software after a bunch of phone calls to LC. There is some really important information NOT included in the instruction manual as far as how to correctly set up the system. I had hoped to be able to install this system out of the box and at least be able to drive the truck down the street without having to make a fuel map from scratch. I'm on the right track now, but it will still be a while before I can get out on the road with it.

well my truck runs decent enough to drive now. I was getting mixed readings from my o2 sensors, which made it impossible to tune. I unplugged the primary sensor and ordered two new sensors today.

Piggyback is a waste. Megasquirt it. $300 and you can tune fuel and ignition. And run a map sensor.

    Update

I am so ****ing pissed at this thing. I have had my truck at split second for a week now because it refuses to run cold. I am 99% sure they are tuning it wrong... but its damn near impossible to tell the guy that makes the tuning software he is using it wrong.

If I end up limping my truck to arizona to have LC tell me its a tuning issue, there will be hell to pay when I get back.

its really bad, the truck instantly throws a check engine light and is completely useless for a good 15 - 20 minutes in the morning.

The truck bogs and jerks hard if you do anything more then feather the gas when its like that.. almost got me killed the first few times.

after it warms up though, its hauls ass for about 10 minutes, till the check engine light turns back on.

its always code 31.. which is the "volume mass air flow meter signal"

    Mass Air Flow

Any word on the final out come of the 2 conversions that were mentioned in this thread? I'm curious because I've been sitting on the same conversion kit for some time now... I'm starting to think Its not worth the trouble.? The extra 12hp and 23ft would be nice to add "IF" I can skip all the you know what.. I haven't seen or heard a 22re with this kit installed complete yet.. Is there any write ups on this ? Or even feed back... Was the 12hp and 23ft gained or close to?

    Thanks
    Sal

    Piggy Back

I totally get what you are saying about Mega Squirt being better.. And
also the fat price for the piggy back from LCE.. Thing is... I didn't pay
Anything close to $1200. for the conversion kit.. I can't even remember
how long I've had it now ...Point is that I have a new LC engineering Stage 2 mass air flow conversion kit... I don't know.. Was waiting to see how it worked out for some of the other Sr. Techs.. My new engine runs great ... So I'm just being cautions.. So I guess no one had any luck with this conversion.. .... That's cool.... No harm done... It'll all just keep sitting in the closet until I figure something out... Thanks for your help guys..
