Hey Phat, you haven't mentioned what you did to that front lip. Where did you get that material and how did you mount it?

I'm liking the integrated valance and bumper, looks great, but would look wierd on an 80's 4x4. Can't wait to see what else you're going to do...

I got the garage door sealer from home depot and used like 20 small screws to screw it on the bumper... Lots of drilling :D
    Google for home depot lip.

Well, if you look at your grille, you can see a line on it. like on the headlight section and the grille section. Idk if you had a chrome grille before, but on mine, it's seperated chrome and black. the black part stays black, and the chrome part (on yours, speckled black) should be painted some other color. like the frame of sunglasses. this also goes on with the outer frame of the corner lights.

too much to say, imma do a photoshop.

    Hahahaha!
Niice! I kinda like it! Humm... you got me thinking...

Yeah, the lip is pretty heavy duty. Even if it gets ripped or scratched, it only costs $4 for a new roll. :clapping:

Dunno how we'll make this work, but what if you had these "shutters" over the front headlights [IMG]

like a few phantom grille bars over it.

lol dude i also considered saving for a 1JZ since it's cheaper than a 2JZ (great minds think alike!) and then you can do a 1.5JZ if your bottom end blows!

    Hahaha.
Yeah. For the price difference between the 1JZ and the 2JZ, I can build the 1JZ before I drop it in. I don't need 800 hp...300hp will be plenty for our trucks.

Very true indeed, i'll be so happy with 250hp on my truck!

Hey Phat, gotten a LSD for your pickup yet?

( i thought about tossing the 22RE in a go-kart chassis just for ****s and giggles!!!!)

Hahaha.. thats awesome! Rolling drifter style!

I've been wanting a LSD for a while now. I'm just going to have the stock rear welded shut. Isn't some guy on the forum is doing it for ~$60? I forgot his user name. I think he's in Cali too. I might just send him mine to be welded.

    Its going to be fun...

    Gotta keep it going bro!

I considered welding mine also. I think it was SD_Yota who was doing them.
I lose too much of my precious 22RE horsies through the auto, so I also thought about swapping for a 5speed.

Have you sourced any 1JZ's yet?

are the 1JZs smaller size wise..or you just looking at one cuz they are cheaper than a 2jz?...I've been wanting to do this since I was 16 but I've been looking at a supercharged 5vz lately

1JZ's are the first generation of the JZ family.
Their headflow is great, and the bottom end is only 2.5Liters of displacement. They come in turbo and naturally aspirated forms.
2JZ's are the second generation, similar to the 1JZ, but with 3 liters of displacement.

1JZ's are cheaper than 2JZ's, and your 1JZ bottom end decides to go putput on you, grab a 2JZ bottom end and prepare for more torque!

I was told a 2JZ bottom end with the 1JZ top end (1.5JZ) gives it crazy turbo spool due to the extra displacement.

i'm pretty familiar with the engines..but I was just wondering why you both were looking at a 1Jz vs a 2..I figured it was $$ and i know the 2jz is highly desired and hard to find cheap..i did not know about the 1.5 tho..very interesting i might have to look into that
