Can Do Specialties should have all the pricing for everything they sell. I got the rear trailer fenders from Princess Auto.
Well I'm not working tomorrow so I'll get to do some work on my truck. And I got a new camera so I can take pics. Oh and I have a funny story to tell regarding my "distraction" of a Supra. Yea my front wheel fell off while doing 180 km/h. AND the RC's were flashing in the rearview no lies. Perfect timing oh well. So I put the car on the side and slid a ways to a stop. Repairable just not on the menu for a while. Gotta finish this truck first.
And another one I got some tires for my rims! I've been working on the front inner fenders. And I've got a lot to do still. I hope I can keep working on my truck often as spring kicks in. This could be the summer I've been waiting for
Rims on the truck I can't get my front to hold air for that long. I am just using a temporary setup. I aired it up and ran to get a pic lol
still need shocks TY So I have some 69 Camaro gas a just (KYB) shocks. They have 5 inches of travel to them. I am trying to figure if my front Slam Specialties RE6 bags have more travel than 5 inches. Does anyone know?
looks like they max out right around 7" of travel http://www.slamspecialties.com/air_springs/RE-6.pdf
Oh yea. Thanks a lot dude. I just need to see if the shocks I have will work. If not I gotta buy 4 new ones instead of 2. BTW Burnzya it's February the big month! I can't wait to see pics!!!
Right now my plans are to carry the black on the box on to the front. But I will leave the roof and the part of the cab above the box with the blue. I still need to weld up the front shock mounts. Then I need to measure what shock sizes I want. I'm going to go on the KYB shocks website and find some shocks that fit and get a part number that way it will be easy to order a pair of shocks over the counter. I also need to go to the machine shop to get caliper brackets made. Then I need to get a radiator and gas tank sender to start up the truck so then it will be easy to turn around and weld up the front inner fenders on the other side of the truck where my welder can't reach lol. I can't wait for winter to end then the project will speed up a lot.
caliper bracket Well after messing around a bit I made a caliper mounting bracket. I got it to spin freely while the rotor was fully mounted. So now I will take it off and measure how thick I need it to be. Then trace onto paper and make a template to bring to a machine shop.
Well the actual adapter bracket won't have to be as thick as that. I just gotta work what little money I have and get to the machine shop. Then I'll post pics of the new brackets. I won't have to use the nuts because the bolt holes in the brackets will get tapped for the proper threads.
