    Doin some more

Well here is how I have it now. It is on some jackstands. I took out my torsion bars. It was easy because I had loosened them up when I installed my static drop (DJM lower arms).

I think some 2x3 might work better for fixing my rusty rockers. Here is how they look cut out:

    bd probly

Well I found out my rims are arriving here in a couple days.
:drool:Yea I was going to cut about 1 inch off the bottom of the doors because they have a small amount of rust. I don't know what I would do about seats. I am 6 feet tall and a body drop to the doors is so much!
And I am going to run 20 inch rims too. Not sure how far I can body drop it with those. I guess I don't mind that much if I have to tub above the hood and bedsides. It would be nice to know before I start on the tubs!
I was trying to be ready for a car show sept 10th but I don't have enough money. I don't know. I have a Tacoma waiting to be built. I should probly start on that and bd this one another time. At least it would be a nice bagged truck. Hmm I need my rims so I can get a better idea on how the tubs will go.

Oh and I got another headlight (drivers side). They are 98 tacoma headlights. I needed it because I broke the original while I was driving around without brakes. Crashed into a tree lol:shrug::eyecrazy:

    broke

I gave up on trying to make the 4 rocker panels I made equal. I used a hand operated metal brake but it is mostly meant for thinner metal. And I didn't have a lot of practice using one. But anyway I made a series of bends on each sheet to get the shape. But they are all different shapes and look crappy when I put them together! I would have to use lotsa bondo and I don't want to do that.
So I decided to use some 2x3 I am not sure how thick I can buy 2x3 in. Maybe eigth inch? smaller? On the plus side it may be better to lay on.

But I am trying not to stress over it.lol My friend came over today and we installed a new muffler on his Cavalier. And I was eyeing up his rear suspension since I have airbags sitting here in a box. I told him he should make it a Cavalac.

I will try to get more done so I can take more pics. My rims will be here in a couple days.

    Rims!

Went into town for a test fit and to pick up my rims today. They are MSR type 087 20 x 7.5 with a -40mm offset. And they seem to fit well.

Well I have chrome mirrors. And at first I will have just black primer. But I will leave the roof dark blue pearl. I will probably paint it black. I am not planning on spending lots on a super nice paint job.

I put it there because it doubles as a tailgate handle filler piece. I welded my gate shut. As for the looks of it I am still not sure. I was thinking about police issues also. They pull me over if my license plate is crooked. And I think there is a height restriction on the license plate. Not too sure. Hopefully it will look better when I complete it where it is smoothed out nicely.

    nice, it's coming along!

here the plate has to be 12" off the ground, so mounting where you did would keep it legal. taillights have to be 15" to the center, and headlights need to be 22" to center.

Ya I should probably learn what the exact measurements are for me here in British Columbia.
