just out of curiousity what is a basic paint job going for today? not a maaco deal but a decent paint job..i would really like to have mine redone, lots of scratches and chips..

 

Probly depends on the shop. One place I checked here was like $2-3k, depending on body work and color of paint.

 

For a clean paint job at least 2gs to 2500.

 

Those are pretty nice man, cant wait to see it done on your toy.

 

How hard is it to put speakers in the door?

 

Not hard at all. Just cut the hole in the door panel and the door. If you don't have power windows you'll have to drill 2 hole in the jam to run the speaker wire. If you do, you can run the wire through the boot that the factory wiring goes through. Now, if you have the vent windows you don't need a spacer. If you don't have the vent windows like mine, you'll need to run a spacer. Thickness depends on how deep the speaker is. Here is pic of the speakers I had in before. Those spacers are 3/4" MDF wrapped in grey suede.

It already has a 2/3 drop. I've been thinkin bout bringin it down a little more, but hopefully (insert prayer smilie here) it will be bagged and layin frame this year.
