Hello, I’m new to the group and this is my first build of an import of any kind. I grew up 3rd generation in a mechanic shop but have been retired for several yrs. Block is in the shop now, looking forward to learning new tricks. As I mention this is my first import build and right out the gate on a stock motor. I learned someone had took a hand sander to the deck surface of the block. It was .017 interference on #1 piston and .024 on #4. I actually decked it by hand with plate glass 100-1200 grit and straighten the deck, but once I realized #4 pin was loose from the harder compression, I pulled the block.
