I got my excab today. As I was driving home I decided I needed new tires to carry me until I decide exactly what wheels and tires to get. I took it home and took the wheels off and threw them in the 4wd truck and went off to the tire store. I bought some fairly cheap 205/75/14's and ithe truck drives much better now. I installed the Husky floor liners out of the 4wd also. I ordered a set of seat covers for the stock 60/40 seat until I find a set of 4runner buckets. I am going to get a new grille, front bumper and valance since the front end took a mild hit at some point. There is no damage to the hood but the other parts arent perfect anymore. The motor on it has had the top end redone recently. The woman that owned it took it in for a tuneup and the found the timing chain had worn through the timing cover so she spent alot of money to fix it. Pretty clean engine compartment for 17 years old. Here is why you can't use headers with the auto trans, linkage is in the way... I have alot of Toy trucks in my driveway Robb
Welcome. Congrats on finding a truck you like. It's nice to see another person on here from NM. I am in Las Cruces. I picked up my 85 single cab from albq. craigslist about 2 months ago. I love craigslist...
