im about to buy a truck center console but it doesnt have the lid..so i found this lid but im unsure if it will fit or even work, it seems like the console has a couple of places to mount with screws and this lid just has these arms and not visible place where a bracket would go to mount with screws? Can someone help me out that has a factory console, will it work or not?

The 2 arms drop thru the slots in the V notches on the upper rear edges of the console, they are just stops to keep the lid from opening too far backwards, your missing the hinge that attaches with 2 screws on the lid and 2 on the console.

 

ahhh thanks, i dont see anywhere the hinge would screw into the lid? can i still make it work?

 

Aw! your right, I had to go look to refresh my head, the 2 level console, like you have and whats in my 90, the upper lid has the hinge made as part of the lid and attatches with 2 screws to the console, so apparently the hinge is broken off on your lid. Maybe a small hardware store hinge could be used or a piece of web strap to make a hinge???

 

hmmm im wondering if its more trouble than its worth...i can get a 4runner console all day, just been having a hard time finding a pickup console

 

I did a 4runner console in mine. It would be nice to have the truck console, though. It's bigger and can hold more crap.
