to physicly lift and swap the cab....6 the actuall work is like a reverse eng swap, everything moves cept the eng. i still think you should find a blown motor or super cheap 2wd and just swap the 1 ton stuff over. it would be bolt on and no welding, maybe get a really good body. imho the amount of work/cost to get that truck straight is way more then a new shell. if it was a wheeler or just a beater id say brace the F out of it and drive it, but it sounds like ya want a show truck some day, just start fresh with somethin good, and put the parts you want on it. the frame isnt any beefier on a 1ton, just the springs n hubs are. toyota has had a boxed ladder frame on trucks since the 60's
