With the stops still in there I bet it handles really good. Mine does too but I have a low center of gravity. :D

Haha :) I'm tempted to take out the lower stop but I like how it handles... Maybe I'll try it without for a day or two

It's a good start. You'll probably get the itch to go lower later. If you have a long bed, the carrier bearing crossmember will be your worst enemy. It drags everything and doesn't let you tuck the exhaust high enough up. I plan to cut mine apart and make it even with frame level and have an exhaust notch. Trans and engine crossmembers aren't an issue.

I'm a short bed And I'm not going to go lower. Shouldn't have any problems anytime soon..

Ive already told myself I'm not doing anything major to this truck, other then possibly building a motor.. My truck is a daily and Trying to save money for a car to uber modify.. Like a vw notchback:D

Well you should be set. IF you go lower in the rear, you may eventually have to hammer the trans tunnel pinch weld at the back can wall. They rub the driveline. Anyways, keep up the work on the old truck. It looks super clean. Need any mud flaps?

Thanks! It's not as clean as I wished :( both front fenders need work, and passenger door needs to be replaced..

I actually sold my mudflaps a while back.. Didnt really like them thought they looked cheesy on my truck.. I like them on others but it just didn't look right on mine.

I gave my original flaps to my old boss. At the time I thought they were dumb. I sure like having drag flaps now though. I've ground the tips off a few sets now haha. Keeps the tailgate clean in the rain tho. No up drafted of water from tires to make the truck dirty.

Drag flaps would be cool:D Ive thought about (as a joke) to go get some big ol semi truck flaps.. Have them stick like 6" out from the truck and drag like 4" of them on the ground.. Hahaha:D

Other then that I don't care about getting my truck dirty.. Keep it well waxed and it should be easy to clean.. Just rinse it off

The thing with giant flaps is they will drag away quickly. And the wider part would make them catch alot walking past them. If you do put any flaps, brace the bracket a bit. Kinda flimsy.

Ever thought of putting a Strip of metal on the bottom of the flap to drag? I'll probably never put them big flaps on.. Would look too tacky

Nah. Don't wanna throw sparks. I have cops tailing me enough as it is. I had to raise it an inch a year ago. It would smack road turtles changing lanes. Cops and beamers don't appreciate it much hahaha

I just pictured turtles crossing the road until I figured out what you meant.. Hahah:D

You could use aluminum.. It shouldn't spark, at least it doesn't when you take a grinder to it

If I didn't have cool ass stock flaps I might. I have thought about making my own TEQ flaps like the first gens. Just use aluminum metal and bolt it to a flap. The 2nd gen flaps with the tips and Toyota word might take it well. My flaps don't even touch the ground anymore. Drove too much off of them haha. If they were saw blades, they wouldn't cut wet cardboard lol.

Hahaha I had the Toyota flaps and sold them for like 20bucks.. They were nice and clean..

It would be cool to get a flap made of sheet aluminum and have the tea flap design milled into it

    They see me Rollin...

I got myself some new rims! :headbang:
They are just stock jeep rims, good ol gold mesh with a little chrome lip.. 15x7 Nothing spectacular, but a sh*t ton better then stocks! Hahaha:jawdrop: came with some sand paddles and tractor like fronts..

I'll post pics eventually, probably after I clean them:cool:

The best part, they seem to be nearly perfect! Didn't see any curb rash or any bends. And the were only $40!! :runaway::nana::clapping:

Now I just gotta clean them, there pretty filthy...
    And get some tires..

Any suggestions on tires? Trying to be semi cheap (less then $300 for the 4) and a little stretch..

Pics as promised, for those who care..

    The day I got them..

Started cleaning them, but mainly trying to polish the little lips:cool:

Im getting closer to breaking through the clear coat on them.. The lowest i had for wet sanding was 500, probably need something like 250 or 300 grit to get through it quick, then 500 and so on..

I also decided on tire size. Either 205/65R15 or 225/55R15 (Maybe 225/50R15?) Cant decide..
