    Little update.
Got the rear notched and the gas tank raised up inside the frame rails. Also, got my new bag brackets mounted on the axle. Still gotta do the upper brackets and finish cleaning everthing up.

Got the back done for now. Just gotta get the bed cut out and new fenders put in. I plan on driving it to Friends In Low Places in Winston Salem in a few weeks, so we'll see how that goes. Still gonna build a bridge across the middle, but that will come in a few months. I'm pretty satisfied for my first time doing all this.

Got the bridge done, and added a few other details to the interior and engine bay. Haven't gotten as far on it in the last few months as I would've liked. But I was able to take it to a couple of shows. Decided to hold off on any more work to the bed for now, since I'm gonna have to get a new one.

Thanks. Nice truck. The screensaver picture on my computer has your truck in it from a couple years ago. The gold Cavalier is mine too.

Not really sure, I've been wondering too. It was there when I bought it. I haven't found another one like it.

Haven't been on here in a while, so I figured I give a little update. The truck is currently stripped and getting ready for fresh paint. Since the last time I posted I have redone the front suspension, bought a new bed, shaved the tailgate, and begun to sheetmetal and tub the inside of the bed. Here are a few pics.

I like the radius bed corner and bridge work. Very nice work. How much lift will you get with that setup?

If that is really bed sides cut down to use as inner panels I'll say your a gawdammed genius. That's a fantastic idea for most any rig.

That was my first thought too. Clever use of old body panels. Truck looks good even in pieces

Doesn't get a lot of lift. Bed sides just clear the top of the tire, but I ride it low so I'm good with it.

I had to get a new bed, so I just cut the sides off the old one. You can see it in the background in the pic below.
