Got the go ahead from my buddy to bring truck to shop. Sucks cause he can only help on Sundays so this is gonna be slow.

Casey is helping Im def gonna be there as much as possible to help and learn. I also plan on helping him with his interior and other stuff if he needs it since he will be doing his and mine at same time. Yah I plan on running a Toyota minis, Cando, and Cash Kustoms sticker in rear window. I dont think John would be down I dont think he really cares for me.

K santa i know its early but can i have all that stuff please. Nice man, now to do some work and get it on

 

Trying to get ideas for red/white paint scheme if any of you got pics of some decent or sick schemes using red base/white stripes/block/2tone whatev post for me. Dont overload though. Here are 2 i found I think are decent. Interior is gonna be white/red with black.

 

UPDATES: Like I said can only work on it Sundays and the kid helping has like 100 things going on so yah progress is slow and minimal but its gittin there.

Got bed off, took out tails, handle cause its all gitin shaved


Then we saw the worst thing ever. We knew the bridge was crap and so was the link but we were hoping some of it was salvagable OH HELL NO!!

 

So we cut that beoch out. Good ridance. Cut the welds on the notch/bridge and the top plates literally fell off. Another bad thing was passenger bag bolts were broke so when the plates fell so did the bag (wow woulda sucked hittin somethin big on freeway I woulda been toast)

And then the junk welds and the fact the notch is totally not centered or squared off and stick welded so yah this is coming out too. Complete backhalf is now the plan.


Look at the cancer. this is the bridge and top mount bracket that litterally fell off the truck after smacking it with a BFH.


So its gonna end up looking something like this but not as fancy by anymeans

 

Oh man you got your hands full. But its going to look nice when its done.

Updates!! Pics galore!! Someone read my build thread LOL

Got the old frame cut off. Toss that crap in the dumpster. Mocked new frame rail design on work bench. Got everything measured out for length, angles, etc.




Gonna use my old leafs to build a bowflex LOL!!


Old frame damn nasty POS, in the trash you go. Wait we can use that angle iron for a jig hah


Got all the new pieces cut from 2x3 square tubing. Made a template on the work bench and started making it happen.

 

Got one rail done and mocked it up to old frame to test for fitment and such.


Got the other one done and did same thing.



Laid rails on level floor and leveled them. Measured all the lenghts and corner to corner again to make sure it was all square. Everything was within a 16th DAMN GOOD TO ME.


Got the rear cross member welded up and put back into frame rails and called it a day. Hopefully will have everything welded up and 4 link'd next sunday. Im getting HELLA stocked.
