Any old rwd celica ( 1975-1986) tranny with a 20r, 22r or 22re motor will bolt right up to your truck's 22re. The best option for you would be the 82-86 celica due to shifter location (if you have a pre taco truck). You will need the tranny brackets like titan stated. Oldschool puerto rican drag racers have put 500+ hp thru the earlier (1975 and earlier) w series trannies that have the steel casings.

You can also use the w series trannies from 82-92 supras since they bolt up to you truck's bellhousing.

well guys my fiberglassed interior will be here in about 1 week and a half maybe ??? Got my new seats in, havent taken pics yet but that will be soon...

within a few weeks will be my double din in-dash dvd player.. probably going to skip the nav part... but I will have that and any combination of kicker l7s either 8 10 or 12 inch.. im thinking 4 8's 3 10's or 2 12's.. which ever fits the best in between my bucket seats will be going in.. probably the 8s or 10s.. oh ya and I got an extra xbox 360 going in there as well... so my interiors going to be sweet.. just need carpet, seats covered the right color and a headliner...

next I will work on my gauges, planning on pulling the stock bullsht out and puttin all new sun pro or autometer gauges in place with a stainless steel piece covering the old cluster hole...

oh ya, hood scoop, rims and my new 1 piece bumper/valence will be painted to match the truck as well... when i get my interior

well I picked up new powder coated drop spindles for 100 bucks today, the guy gave me the whole front clip for free as well... its 3 inch body dropped and was Z'ed but i dont think im going to use it. I am going to pull all the steering components because they are all brand new... like idler arm, tie rods, ball joints, and the steering stabalizer shock... probably gunna scrap the rest.. im going to keep the lower control arms because they have bag brackets welded into them already but should I bother taking the upper brackets off ? ill have pics of it all later.. the frames still in the bed of my titan, everything else is by my front door lol

welll after some negotiating, I picked up an engine with lots of spare parts and I convinced the guy who I sold the motor that came original to my truck to give it back in trade for my motor and parts so I will hopefully have her back tomorrow and fix it since I know in detail whats wrong with it and what its been through so my truck will have its original motor almost 2 years after I sold it lol... its sitting in the same corner of the shop as when i dropped it off. also has my trd stage 2 cam in it and hes throwing me a new webber carb for 50 bucks cuz he converts all his trucks to efi... the guy has about 35 trucks and millionsss of parts...

i think he's seeing your sig pic, which doesn't show up. i thought it was a pic of the carb myself for a minute.

my weber has a tag on it that says 32/36. the only stampings are weber, and made in spain.

well, now that im out of school and have some free time, Im pulling the motor and having a friend of mine whose a volvo tech rebuild it for me. While Its out I plan to trim the front fender wells and clean and paint the engine bay to match the outside. Pieces of the motor will be powder coated as well, Im thinking all the main parts blue and the brackets and such black ?

Also going to start finishing my interior. I dont know if I wanna do the dash blue or black. Or do blue with a black trim ??? I do have a smoothed dash for sale by the way, I bought it with the rest of my interior but instead of switching my vin over to it im going to smooth my factory dash myself. Ill sell it to the best offer plus 30 for shipping.

Anyone know how to install power locks and windows on our trucks ? my new door panels dont have window cranks on them.

Im thinking about pulling the wiring harness and building my own so It can be completely tucked and the wires will be better and all labeled. sound like a nightmare and Ill screw it up ? or does it sounds like a worthy job ?
