    Thanks! The audis: 04 A8L · 97 A8Q · 1990 CQ · 85 4000Q · 87T Supra · 85P Supra · 04 Evo8 · 91 Celica All-Trac · 90 JDM MR2 GT

It's paint is far from mint, but I do like the patina.

Mighty Max springs, but I made a spacer spring perch since they sat lower than I wanted with those wheels. They are OEM Evo8 wheels, with OEM rubber. Those wheels are currently not on it anymore since I put those wheels on my MR2. I do have another set for the MR2 now, so they will go back on the truck with the correct size tires.

Did you use stock Mighty Max springs or lowering springs?

    Thanks.

So I have a line on a 91 2wd pickup with a 22RE. I am planning on picking that up next weekend to swap in (after a couple of my other cars I need to engine swap).

    Well that escalated quickly.

Started off as a bad cap... then rotor... then coil wire... then....

Other than a new timing chain, water pump, and a bunch of gaskets, it is fine.

I had a few hold ups, but last night it did go together.

    Cleared the oil pan:

A friend (huge R block guy) came over and we started reassembly. The timing chain:

While it was apart, we checked the valve clearances and adjusted a few:

We got the timing cover back on:

And the valve cover and associated stuff back together:

Then it was ready to try and start. We cranked it a couple short bursts, then:

Pulled the 91 into my barn. I needed the bay for random servicing of the daily drivers if needed.

Picked up another 22RE coil, igniter, AFM, ECU and a few other small bits for a $30 bucket day special. I am still trying to track down the engine not running as smooth as expected. If any of those parts do not make a difference, I will be doing a compression test since it would be the last thing I can imagine. If that shows an issue, I will pull the same engine I yanked those parts from in the local u pull it.

I should check this stuff over the upcoming weekend. I need to cross these questions off so I move forward before spring.

I did pull that other complete 22RE. I am going to drop that in the white truck and get it running 100%, then pull it, clean it up and get ready to put it in the 78. I need to finish my MR2 so I can get the work space back to get back on the truck project (man I miss the space in my other garage...).
