Updates! Been really busy with other things guys, but the truck is practically done even though I still need to little things like brakes and stereo. This is how it turned out. I am yet to do a real video as it is not an easy task to record and drive a manual:). I took it to get an alignment a few days ago so that's out of the way. Anyways, this is my beefed up mini!

Question about the mounts, you stated they are the ones from eBay, are they the dropzonecustomz??? Also what was the mod you had to do to get them to work??

    Thanks

Yep, deopzone mounts. I widen the rear holes by cutting the little lip off and using a large washer on the those two bolts. I'll sketch a picture of what I did and post it. Right now they are in too good I can't get a clear picture of it on the truck.

Thanks brother that would be much appreciated!!! I'm at that point of ordering mounts and I've just learned that the Exxceive mounts are NOT a good option. So I'm gonna go with the drop zone ones on eBay just looking to see what has to be done to them.
    Thanks again.

So this is what I did with the mounts to make them work. Deopzone mounts are okay in a sense that they give you somewhere to start, but their measurements are off a bit.

The mounts have 4 holes "OBVIOUSLY", lol but you have to modify the lower holes in each side.

    Modifications:

1- Cut the shaded portion of the mounts completely off. (The outer lower hole, and inner lower holes). Tester fit just the lower parts to see if the holes lines up like they should, you may need to widen the width of the hole a bit, I did.
Figure B in the sketch is what the modded holes should look like when you are done.

2- Put two large washers on two of the motor mount bolts. (I don't remember what size I used, just make sure it is strong and large enough to cover up the modded holes.

3- Install these two bolts half way threaded in on the lower end of the engine block.

4- Slide the mount's moded holes over the two lower bolts.

5- without tightening the lower bolts, get the upper "inner bolt" started by hand, and then the upper outer bolt.

6- with all four bolts starter, tighten up the upper "inner" bolt, then the upper outer, and on to the lower bolts with the large washers. And that will be the end.

Please note this may work as easy as it sounds, but if you are bad luckly with your mount (if your measurement wasn't as close as mine) it may require you to do more mods. Let me know if you have questions or get confuse on the sketch.

WHOA! Great build, makes me want to hurry up and swap my 5vz into my yota. Is it pretty fun to drive and have you really pushed the 1uz to its limits yet?

Hurry up then man, lol yes it is. I actually need to add some weight in the bed I can't keep the tires on the ground .
I've pushed, but not to the limit "just yet". I got to up my brakes before I go real crazy. It's gets up and going really quick. I'm working on a video for the entire build. I'll post it when I'm done at some point.
