i'm running 185/60/14's on 14x7's all the way around. Still have full turning radius in the front and clear by >2.5mm in the rear with about 2mm trimmed off the inner fender.
Dope 83 bro! Can't wait to see it in person. It sound like you guys got a brotherhood going on. What model air shocks are you running in the rear?
Thanks man! Haha, we have a little group that likes to get together when we all have a chance whenever it be. I'm running Monroe Monroe MA803's currently. I had a different setup but blew the left one out and just got these around 1200 miles ago. They work great. The only thing I had to do was take out the bottom adapters and re-fit them with the bushings out of my shocks. They work great I just had to do make a little clearance on my 83 with the valve placement on the shock hitting the gas tank mount and pinching the line.
Snapped some legit pics of my truck with the older front end conversion. I will have build pics for my exhaust in the next week or so. Check back in!
looking good,i like the rims.did the round lights and square lights mount in the same holes? any other issues with the swap?
They mount in the exact same frame holes and everything goes smoothly as long as you have all of the parts and just take your time. The ONLY issue is the electrical plugs for the side markers were pronged differently from the square to the round buckets. If marker lights are crucial you can just tweak it a little bit to make it work or even splice the wire and put in the old style plugs too. Currently I am just not running marker lights since they do not really make much of a difference on old trucks like this unless you use parking lights a lot.
cheersthats what i wanted to hear.the wiring shouldnt be a major problem as my old man is a sparky by trade, now i just have to find parts
So last night we(yankee,sdyota,mannyfresh,94yota,myself) had a fun little mod day. Ill post some pictures hope you guys enjoy! so we had tons of projects going on at the same time.
