I love the pics with all the trucks together. I miss hanging out like that with the guys and just working on cars/trucks.

Thanks Hosh. it was pretty nice to get away for a while and work on some trucks. Your truck looks way better in person. The pics dont do it justice. Your truck also convinced me and Yankee to go to airshocks now.

So Yesterday the group got back together and we did some work. I was tired and not in work clothes so for the most part I was the "photographer" haha. I did get down and dirty a few times though. So here we go.

We started yankees frame swap but did not make it all the way through. We got the 3rd member taken out of the doner frame, the cab off the old frame, and then we had other things to do so it is a work in progress.

After that we took a break went for a drive picked up some airshocks for yankees taco and got some slurpees. Into the night it went as we tried to put in the airshocks:

I think some of our problem today was that we had a few mascots instead of players. :runaway:

So I have to end MY build thread with a pic of MY truck so here she is. Really like this pic. displays her nicely.

    Until next time!

Cool to see everyone together working on stuff!

Whats up with the frame swap? Whats going under it? I looked back but maybe I missed it.

yankees old frame has allota back fees on it and the other frame has none. its out of the system. also, the better suspension is already on it too and is easier to get parts for... aaaand less rust. thats pretty much it.

one of the rear ends is going on a tacoma, then we're swapping the older axle from the 82 to the 90 frame.

nah......... he told me he blew a coolant line. overheated the truck a little but shouldnt be a big issue..... (i hope)

he told me that he stopped and it kept leaking water too quickly so guess he decided to tow it and not risk damaging anything further.

I know how to drive love and slow so it was not that.

Correct. The radiator was bone dry. I mean licked clean. Need to take it to the family mechanic who of course had to take his once a year vacation this week :duh:

Drove it oblivious for a good length of time. Radiator spit out a bunch of red rust looking substance, bay steamed over, it smells like ****, I dont know how long I was on the freeway with it like this but the second I got off I knew it was toast. Hopefully just blew a main hose and no gasket or anything   :(

should be ok...... so long as you didnt seriously overheat it. if the truck didnt die on you chances are its ok...... at worst case, you may have warped the head and you'll know it if it blows the head gasket.

that red **** comin out of the radiator is rust/corrosion. sounds like the water wasnt changed very often.

i might be able to head up there tomorrow..... not sure yet, ill let you know and ill give you a hand.

Its been quite a while since my last update. Finally am getting some progress on the front end conversion going. A friend picked this up for me at the yard a few days back: Should have another wrench day coming up in the next week where I will get it all squared away with a little bit of special hardware too ;) Heres what he grabbed for me:

    thanks Yota :drunk:

and as far as the front bumper goes. I have something custom in the developmental stages for that. I want to do something tucked in and flush but have not found just the perfect idea yet.
