what is it exactly that you are missing? you should try some of the yards down here in chula vista. they seem to get allot of the older lux trucks here and then....

The non driveside plastic bracket that houses the light and marker light and the center grill. Thats pretty much all I need. I went to one a while back and i got the lights, one plastic housing, and the metal brackets to mount them for 22 bucks with a few extra things.

Reminds me of the time last year or two when all the Honduh-boys started doing it and thought it was the new thing when VW's have done it wayy before and when the rat rod guys have done it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy before.

I value my body panels too much to rust lol

It was an extra that was sitting and its all clear coated really nice so it wont spread. I have the oem hood with matching paint i've been trying to throw on for the last few weeks, just have not had time.

    rust is never "sealed"

although it may be cleared, it will not protect the surface under the top surface of rust that will start to eat away at metal. under a microscope, metal is not a solid and has inpurites and pockets of air and such...... rust will find this and keep eating away at metal through its pores at a molecular level...... :doah:

thats why whenever we find rust we just cut the surrounding area off and hope that whatever metal was not cut will not rust once repaired and painted over. anyhow....

although a unique look.......i like the glossy :D

Thanks. I find it hard to ride also but one of my jobs I work at the skatepark and get paid to ride on the clock so I have some time to mess around here and there. But my bike is getting more and more tempting to throw on ebay day by day to invest stuff into my truck. I want to be the guy that likes girls more than his cars but im only 18 so it isnt looking to good. hahaha.

The 17 steelies were borrowed from a friend (yankeetaco) and If I remember correctly there off a 300.

Also was switching the hood back to the OEM one and snapped a pic of my bay in the light. Me and my buddy yankee with the 82 cleaned it up pretty good a few days ago and I must say it looks really nice.

One of them goes to my compressor switch, and the previous owner had it wired for a system but never put one in. So Currently the wires are dead and just hanging out. When some money is dug up in the back yard a bench seat box and a in the glove box system will be put in to keep it looking classic but sounding great.

So This Build thread has been dead for a long time. Over summer I was working full time and Moved out with no internet and I was strapped for cash. I am pretty sure you guys know how it can be sometimes. I sent my truck up to Brian from Custom (beefed) tacos and got some work done this past weekend so once I get over this flu and out of my pajamas I will show you a pretty significant update. I am really happy with the end result and now just need to get my work going on the front end! The update may include some notch action and some 14's tucking action so hide your kids and hide your wives!

So Visually from the streets the truck almost looks the same unless there is a trained eye. But Beefed hooked me up with a true monoleaf, frame notches, and a mid frame notch for the third member. She rides a whole lot smoother and better than she did and I have more than enough room for bigger blocks and more low when I get the front end down. I know it looks heigher than previous pictures because I cranked down the torsions all the way because I was tired of ripping them out once a week. Here she is. First pic is aired up to 60psi second is aired out and the last few are the handy work Brian did. Yankeetaco hooked me up with rides when it was in the shop too so a shout of to him to get my truck closer to where it needs to be. let me know what you think!

Dam man clean. Beefed hooked it up. Awsome work. Yes if it wasnt for yankeetaco my truck would never be were its at now either. Great guy and looks after his fellow mini truckers any way he can. I to plan on getting work done from beefed.

Thanks guys for the shout out but you know how I work give the props to guy that does sensational work! Hosposh the truck is looking really good and to see its tranformation in person is better than these pics. Dgerfan youre next like we talked about and you can be down on the ground in no time too. If theres any local fellows that need this done to their truck let me know right away cause in a couple of days turnaround youre truck could look and ride really well. Dont sit on your hands fellow minitruckers seriously hit me up for anything and Ill get your truck hooked up.:waytogo:

Good to see this thread revived Josh! Here are a few pics I snapped when she was back on the ground.

Guys...this dude's truck is much lower than it looks, don't let the pics deceive you, those are 14" tires he's tucking out back now, and with a 2WD bed! You can imagine how slammed this thing would look if the wheels were bigger, and have some precious ground clearance back.

The test drive to the pizza shop with my wife was a killer flashback in the 83! Rode like a stock truck. That cruise alone was worth the work!

Thanks for posting up Josh! :waytogo:

The rear gets 3" of lift from zero to 90, which isn't bad. I didn't feel the need to air up any higher....I'll let you blow something out. ;)

90 psi= rolling like stock & carrying crap
no air= looking much better and scraping speedbumps

    aired up to 90 psi

no air & a smooth ride
