    UPDATE!

Turbo mani is here. I have got to get rid of the horrible looking wastegate flange. I'll cut that off tomorrow.

And she's in! Working on the motor mounts and oil pan still but it's a good motivator seeing it in there. The mounts i'm making will bring it back up a few inches. It sits kinda low right now.

Also strated doing some of the body work in the bay. This is the color i'm going with but it looks nothing like the picture. It's Mocha Frost, kind of a real light gold I guess. Also some primer in the picture too if that helps tell the difference.

Alright got the motor and tranny mounts made today. It's where it is going to stay now so I can start on the oil pan. I might be able to just section the factory one but we'll see. Here's some good pictures finally so ya'll can see whats going on.

The best part is that it all fits under the hood... barely. I was kind of worried about it, but we're good.

Btw ignore the steel tube on the motor mount in the last picture. That was just a spacer while I was getting it to go in. Also you can see the color on the driver side fender well that i'll be using now too.

Well i'm hoping for close to 300 with 15lbs of boost, 255 walbro, 650cc injectors, and a tune. Turbo Dave apparently is the man with apexi super afc neo's so he'll be tuning it.

    Build cost...
Well I got the motor for free
    Turbo manifold $150
    Turbo will be $150ish
    Super afc $300
    Greddy bov $200
I still have to get a better clutch and maybe a drive shaft (might be able to use the tacoma one) i'm running without an intercooler until I can get a forward facing intake manifold. There like 900 bucks!

Thats the big stuff. I'm getting out pretty cheap on this thing actually. The only thing that's really hitting my pocket is the turbo stuff. If you have any kind of fab skills it's not a bad swap. I've had to make 1 motor mount, a tranny mount, and a oil pan. You also have to modify the oil pickup. I actually used the factory mount on the driver side and just had to build a taller one for the other side.

So I made negative progress last weekend. I didn't like my motor mounts so I started over from scratch. They were super ugly and I just wasn't happy with them. So these are the new ones. They're made out of scrap steel so once again i'll make some better looking ones but this is the final design.

Also started on the oil pan. I'm just sectioning the stock 20r pan and using the 2rz flange. Once I finish that up and mod the oil pickup I'll start on the wiring. Shouldn't be much longer now. I'm getting excited lol

haha LEROY thats awesome, i have a heap of pictures of mine it isnt finished yet but i work on it when ever i get a chance...
why dont you use stock mounts? my 3rz mounts bolted straight onto the chassis but the engine was to close to the radiator support. so i moved the chassis mounts back about 1.5"

another thing is i didnt have to change my oil pan, it has two steps to get over the cross member and steering arm and it misses them both by about half an inch

if you would like any of these parts from aussie i would be happy to get them from the dismantlers and post them to you...

fire me a pm with your email and ill send u some pictures of the build so far.

Well I got in a trading mood today. Traded a three section stainless steel sink for a custom oil pan being built by Ric Cline in shadydale. And what I'm most excited about, Traded my KA and tranny for a full paint job. Oil pan is in the works now and the paint will come as soon as the truck is rolling again. Damn I feel good today! haha
