damn. welcome to my world. im always ripping off my exhaust bracket. cant you hammer it flat and put the arm back in? or do you have to replace the whole torsion bar?

i just got into the house. worked on my orange one for a few hours today. got the carpet padding put in on the drivers side and trans tunnel. and the carpet on the drivers side. i did pretty much two layers of pad over most of it. some are 3 or 4 on the tunnel to build the shape out to flat for my console. since i have waited until its got carpet to do the side extension to the floor. looks like a little trimming on the edges and it will sit real nice. passenger side carpet should be a breeze after doing the side with all the pedals and column and wiring. lol.

this is like a mini sema rush. only its a bunch of daily drivers that cant seem to stay working. lol.

i always wondered if you could re-key a yota torsion. maybe use a datsun torsion bar.

if it makes any of you feel any better, i spent the last 2mo or so doing lil things on my wheeler like rebuilding my front axl, new bushings and spring perches in the rear, and completly unwrapped the whole wiring harness to check for faults and installed a new efan, only to throw a rod 3mi into the shake down run for the fan, which works great btw.

then the motor i toss in there has practically no compression.

still not really sure what ill bring yet, plan to work on the wagon all day sat, if that works out, well ill need a shake down crusie and the meets only 2mi away:cool:

and if i can con a friend into it, ill have em drive the hilux :waytogo:

or maybe get somebody to give me a ride back to my garage and pick it up myself. would $hit my self if i got a pic of 5 hilux's

I just picked up a bunch of Coke and Sprite for the meet... A 32 pack each, so I think soft drinks will be covered.
