maybe 2 1/2 or a little bit bigger piping would be good for a supercharger 2 1/4 would be more for stock to slightly modified motors

The motor will be fully built and have a SC when it's done.

Factory Manifolds flow as well as they can, ask Ted @ Engnbldr.com
    If anything, Doug Thorley's
Optimum exhaust size for the 22RE's is 2.25"
Forced induction I'd go at least 2.5", 2.75" if you go turbo.

I just added a flowmaster 40 on mine no cat and the muffler ends right before the bed so I want have to do anything when I bag it but runs better, way louder, and has a higher rpm range IMO but I would like to hear a magnaflow on it. I cranked it w just straight pipes and... Pure d- shat soundinglol but my stock muffler had a quarter size hole in it so anything was a step up

Kris I totally agree, but I got my muffler and piping for FREE, and I clamped it on so when I got a magnaflow it would be no prob to slide it off and weld er up. And my silverado sounded like sex with a magnaflow on it... Just a great muffler!

i've always been a flowmaster guy, since i was raised on muscle cars.

after hearing some magnaflows on this site i decided to have a magnaflow high flow cat and muffler put on my 04 mustang.... it sounds like crap. idle is o.k., but as soon as you start to accelerate it sounds like a ricer, and gets really chirpy. needless to say the hilux is getting dual 40 series flowmasters, and the magnaflow is going to be cut off the mustang, and replaced by magnaflow as well lol

the cherry bomb extreme is a very small body single chamber muffler kinda of like a flowmaster super 10 so it'll be really loud. I think its the loudest muffler that cherry bomb makes.

lol whats wrong with that? lol and if you compare the 40 series to the 10, theres a real slight difference, but if it gets too loud you can put your cat back on, or do smaller piping i.e. 2.25 or so.
