I wouldn't have anything to do with minitruckin if it werent for the early/mid 90's and earlier trucks. These days I get nothing out of MT mag (with the exception of the d50 and a slim other few). I don't like big wheels, I hate dark colors, I hate yellow, and I hate s10's.

Sorry for the rant, but I love these late 70's early 80's trucks. If I didn't have my mind set on a 84-88 yota bobbed and SAS as my next ride...I might just build one. Nothing like tweed, ferarri replica mirrors, 16's and driving because you love driving your truck. I will never enter my truck to be judged, I wish there weren't even classes and trophies at shows.

Memories, memories, memories, lol. I started building minis back in the mid '80s, and it was all about crazy style. We didn't have bags, we had air shocks. 15" x 10"s were the most huge wheels you could imagine. Most of the ones we built, were static about 1 1/2" off the ground, so you really had to plan where you were going. The cops had know idea what to think.

those were old school aftermarket plastic valances. sorta like body kitting half the bumper. some werent too bad though. like that 84-88 above.

i wanna add something to my 78 to bring the nose down a little. ill probably mod the valance from something else to be a wrap around lip. i dunno. i want that part lower. not more than the rockers, and if its metal ill make a round bar to hang just under the edge to prevent it from tweaking the sheet metal. plastic, well, eff it. its plastic. :D
