So you loosened your torsion bars? Is that what you did? If it is resting on the bumpstop, how the heck do you control it? Sounds dangerous. I read somewhere on here that another member removed his torsion bars. How and why do you guys do this if your not going to put coilovers or airbags in?

what had happened was that the bolt retaining the adjustment snapped off..... we didnt drive it like that. we installed new bolts and cranked the torsions just high enough to clear the front bumpstops. the truck isnt a daily driver at the moment.

we also installed shorter length doestec shocks in the front wich give us back most of our original up-travel. with these, we are also going to install some low profile bumpstops. we do have some spring rate in the torsions so the ride will still be decent.

eventually my friend will be getting drop arms to drop it the right way. but for now..... he's just trying to budget the initial expenses of the truck since it needs other priority items. :waytogo:

I used to live in chula vista for like 12 years. Went to school @ Montgomery junior high. I lived right across the street next to Silverwing. My dad was station @ coronado. miss that place. Lived in national city too. went to Las palmas for elementary.

we did have to bring it up some in the front to have it ride decent... we cant bring it down more on fear that its gonna make the ride way too mushy..... we're waiting on funds for the DJM LCA's. once we have those, we'll make it tuck tire up front and rear.

    2 way

The markers have holes for 2 bulbs and they're separated. The front hole is going to be used for the parking light and the 2nd one will tap into the signal light so it will blink with the signal. The marker also has an extra raised "bubble" on the 2nd hole so you can actually see it light up if you stick your head out the window.
