    i washed it just as you see it, just covered the obvious with plastic bags and what not, there wasn't much just the fuse box i think, i had all the wiring out as it was

    yes and no but mostly no cover will bolt on but there are a couple tubes and hoses and such that are different so I think there are actually less hookups on the 22r and in different places then the 22re, also the fact going between carb and fuel inject models. I might be wrong though!

    Yes, the round nose early cover will fit the RE, but the square nose late covers need the oil baffle trimmed to clear the dual chain if going the other way.
