No its a special lens. To me it looks like a model/ miniature. There a guy on another forum that has the lens and took pics at an airport. Crazy cool, all the plane look like a big miniature model landscape
Yeah, the "real" way to do it is with a certain lens and techniqe... but I don't know anything about how to do that. I just use a photo editor to blur the backround manually to make the motor "pop" a little more. That and it hides the dirt.
Good to see im not the only one living both lifestyles. Low and high. Weird going from one to the other
Got another truck: This one has AC and no body lift! Gonna try not to do too much to it besides clean it up and get it resprayed. We'll see how that goes. I do have a new set of wheels for it already...
New wheel time: I like shiny stuff. These were sitting in my bedroom for over a year; I finally got the truck to go with them. 15x12 Classic II's with 33x12.5 mud radials. Definitely need to put flares on soon. Donated the tires my truck came with to a friend for his buggy. The 15x10's are going on the other 4wd.
Put the 15x10's on the extracab today. Tires are 31x10.5. It came out pretty good. I am thinking about lifting it 2" more for a little extra clearance to run 12.5" tires later. One more pic of the other truck after a quick wash: One day I gotta try and get all three trucks in the same place and lined up for a picture.
So your fan stays on all the time when the truck is on? The fan is super quit to i bet. also it cools it down enough to not let it overheat? Have you had any problems with it? Found a good deal on one thats why im asking.
Just to clarify, that motor in the picture is running a clutch fan. My 2wd is the one with the electric fan. The fan does run all the time with the key on, but it's really only needed when the truck is sitting at idle with no airflow through the grille. My truck had been running a little hot lately when sitting in traffic for extended periods of time (also because its the middle of summer), but a new radiator took care of that problem. As long as the rest of your cooling system is in good shape the fan should work fine.
My two-tone a.k.a. "cover up the fading paint" paint job. It will hold me over until I can bring it to a paint shop for a real paint job. I suck at spray painting, but the hood should look a bit better with a bit more sanding and buffing.
Did a second coat today, also added a pinstripe all the way around to complete the look. I finally got a bit better at the painting. Didn't even do any buffing yet in this picture: I should be done messing around with the 4wd for now so I can get back to work on the 2wd.
