Hey nice truck love the color and the weld wheels. I wanted to know how you flipped your balljoints when you lowered it? I want to lower mine more but don't want to have bad camber...

what you basically accomplish is placing the spindle above the arms.

I need get the correct water pump and a gasket for the egr blockoff plate at the back of the head. After that I just need to wait for my clutch and flywheel to come in and then it's ready to go. :)

Swapped in the new motor today. Only got a couple pictures since I got really dirty. Did a lot of cleaning until I ran out of Simple Green. It also took a little longer than usual because I had to swap oil pans and pickup tubes between the two motors (2wd vs. 4wd). I found pretty much a whole set of plastic timing chain guides in the oil pan of the motor that came out of my truck, as well as some random bits of metal that I could not identify. :doah:

p.s. I know I forgot the dust shield in the pictures, it's on now. :p

I can't remember where I had heard of the trick to get the pilot bearing out using grease and a punch, but I tried it and it worked. :waytogo:

I had to put the truck on the ramps because the front wheels of my engine hoist couldn't fit under my crossmemeber.:D

The engine is all bolted in place right now so all the hard work is done. I stopped working because it was getting a little too late to use air tools. All I need to do now is bolt up the manifolds and radiator and go get some fluids. I should have more pictures tomorrow.

Got everything back together and started it up yesterday.

Kinda looks the same as before, just a little bit cleaner. I do see some dirty spots I missed though. Before I bolted the exhaust back up I got a quick video clip, but I'm having trouble logging in to Youtube and uploading the video. I'll try again later. This motor revs really fast, especially with the light flywheel. I just need to adjust valves, carbs, and timing and then it's good to go.

Thanks. How's your truck coming along? There is a small vacuum port on the #1 intake runner for the distributor advance.

Low quality so it would upload faster. I accidently turned the camera off on my first run so I only have this short clip. I was mostly just trying to get a feel for how the camera worked anyway. I'll try and get more footage later.
