oh btw, i'm not sure if this will work with the yota ecu, but its something i have done on honda's, but using a piezo electric tweeters to fool the ecu into thinking there is a knock sensor. Basically your hooking the knock sensor wiring to the tweeter, strap the tweeter to something on the engine, as the tweeter vibrates it creates a small voltage, usually 1-1.5v and relays that small signal to the ecu, we would do this on honda's with jdm swaps since most of them do not have them, that way we can get the CEL to turn off.
sorry so late but my other truck is fuel injected. so with a pro dizzy from lc you dont need to worry about the comp??
i was talking about this dude right here cmcpher i gave him my address and everything tried pm but no answer backs.
Piezo electric tweeter- this is a tweeter that uses small cyrstals inside, normally a signal is applied to voice coild and the tweeter (transducer) vibrates and produces sound, well with a piezo electric with crystal, it can be reversed, you can vibrated it and get an electric output on the speaker lead or voice coil terminals.
