HO alternator build

    I drive my truck every day, use the stereo, lights, and compressor a lot. 140 amps (max) and a single Yellow Top work great.

    If you have more amperage, awesome. I saved a bit of money and I know exactly what I have.

    well delta winding's have more out put nagardless if both were at there peak performance, it just take's more speed for it to over come a whye winding's

    this is what my 180 amp alt had kinda a dog at ideal but it charged full out at 3000 above and low rpm was some what like stock at 80 amps i had stock sized pullie at the time, and did not know any better to swap the pullie

    So, you basically just said yours does about the same as mine except for the extra 40 amps above 3000 RPM, which is above cruising RPM for any of our trucks?

    You would never notice the difference in our rigs.

    I ment to say 2000 all so depends on how loaded the system gets as well

    here is a supra alt on my old bush truck just swapped over with pully change and had to extend the alt slider and space it out with washer or 2 and the alt is fair amount bigger then a 22re one
