So my heater control valve is leaking and I can’t replace all the grommets because I don’t think it can be taken apart fully without breaking it. Does anyone have an idea on what I could do? I’m getting coolant in the truck.

I recently bought a new heater control valve, supposedly oem, on ebay for my 1988 pickup. Perhaps try looking there.

If they don't have the exact part, the control valve bodies themselves seem to be used in more than one model. You might be able to find a control valve from another vehicle and install it in the bracket in your truck.

Thanks for the tip. My truck is a 75 so special parts are becoming very hard to find. Hopefully I can find something that works.

This is where "pick your part" yards come in handy, you can compare your part to a possibly easy piece to convert to.
