I'd say don't waste your money. Go with Sylvania Silverstar or some Halogen retrofit. HID and LED lights are a waste of time, money and effort. Sure they're bright, but not necessary.

Most of what I have come across, as far as LEDs, lose a lot of their brightness after a short period of time and are tempermental as hell. If you were to insist on going that route look at HID.

Another issue with LED is the uniformity of the ligh. The lenses/housings are not tuned to work with the LED's directional lights. You get blid spots.

The tecnnology just hasn't worked out completely yet.

    Just my opinion.

Buy some sealed beam conversion lights and some "Sealight" LED bulbs from amazon. Put them on one car over a year ago and switched all our cars to them soon after. HIDs we're cool 10 years ago. LED takes up less space and requires less wiring

    on the Hilux, BMW ellipsoids.

A good pair of Hella conversion headlights plus the LED bulbs should work well together to control the light pattern and not scatter the light up high to blind other drivers

Are they the housings with a projector lens screwed on the reflector? If so get your money back. They'll be bright as fck but light will be shot off in every direction

I have Hella glass lens, & I've ran high output bulbs, their OK. I ran true HID set up with ballest, very good, now run LED blubs, all with the Hella lens. The LED are the best. I drive to shows all summer in 4 states!!

These are the projector housings I bought. The outer ring is metal but the backside of the unit is plastic. It comes with led lights on the sides if you want to wire those in.. I forgot what color I went with. IMG_20230303_153702_HDR~4.jpg

Had a set like this in my MR2. The lensing sucked and that "projector" wannabe center lens made things worse. They're on the shelf in the garage if anybody wants them. No LEDs though.

Yup those are the exact ones i was talking about. The output is terrible. Light shines thru like a magnifying glass and goes everywhere, no scatter shield or anything

I did wire them up one time in the garage when the power went out. Good light for packing the garage for a move. Man, I need to get that stand-by solar power up and going again. Came in handy!
