mig welding will do just about anything you need on a truck, whether 4x4 or slammed. and its about the easiest to learn. you can pick up a decent mig welder for around $4-600. and its worth it, my neighbors always come up with little things they need welded, and always bring cash.
ya thats what my buddy told me to do, just pick up a pretty good mig welder, and just start practicing, just learn wire feed speed and temp or something like that. i might just do that if i can come up with 400 or so dollars...then id have to learn about dropping trucks...got a lot to learn.
check craigslist, with the poor economy alot of people are selling stuff cheap, i use a lincoln 175 at home and its pretty good. try and avoid a welder with pre selected heat and wire speed. they claim to be set right at the factory but they suck. i learned about slammed suspension from minitruckin magazine, and forums like this. it's pretty basic, and alot of fun.
. . . and mind this, Im damn glad you decided to stop by and share with us, your talent and vision. I use cardomain for the same purpose mainly and rarely get around to updating, but, I do eventually get er done . . .
i have plans on it, my wife graduates tomorrow with her RN, pay off some bills then get something open.
about the only welding i can do is sheetmetal on body work thats about all the welding iv done and cardomain sucks i hate it my first car was a 97 accord and i bagged it shaved it all up and painted it myself completely did the interior in black tweed and suede and it stayed number one for a week or so then it went to 20th and everyone b4 me was either extremely riced out or completely stock damn ricers
