I am nervous to retro them. Replacements are expensive

my somewhat new to cars friend got a DDM kit for his 2009/10 WRX sedan and installation was quite simple. he likes it alot.
Initially he had to get a few parts reordered because of a mixup.
other wise, somewhat good experience. I'm sure Joey has the best experience with HID's and proj's.

DDM is not what everyone thinks it is. Ive bought multiple kits from them and a few didnt work directly from the box and 2 others went out within a week, they always have stuff backordered and their kits are the exact same BS you get on ebay, IMHO they are all cheap ebay crap, when they work they work, and when they dont they dont... my success rate on ebay is about 10 times better then ddm. for the price, you cant beat it, but their "lifetime warranty" didnt cover the broken sht they sold me. but my ebay kits lasted from my titan in 05 to the very end of 2009 and I put about 70k miles with them on and my headlights are on the entire time.....smart4cars is the guy I bought those from... on ebay...

How are the Silverstar Ultra's replacement bulbs compared to these HID kits?
