isnt your vin number in the registration, aswell as the insurance, they should have it aswell, as you give it to them when you get insurance.

you basically make spacers using tubing. its pretty easy. you just make the tubing the same size as what you cut out of the sides. then just cap the ends with some plate. one end you weld a bolt to (i use the factory bolts) and on the other end a nut gets welded to the inside cap plate.

then you just screw the spacers into the factory holes, and use new bolts the bolt the spacer to the original mounts on the frame.

hope this makes sense, i think it sounds more complicated then it actually is.

i just noticed that your compressors sit up pretty high. although it looks sweet, i would recommend moving them under the bed. then you won't have to raise the floor very much.

also, a few guys i know in mesa had their compressors mounted in the bed, and came out of places to find them missing. just something to think about especially if your gunna drive it to school.

It could just be me but I think this is going to need a little bit more explaining. Got a pic or a link that would show what you are describing? I am not sure I follow you at all. I am trying to glean some info for my upcoming bed mods. :D

Yeah, that StreetSource thread helped me out a lot too. I see now what Bernie meant about the tube spacers cut the same length as the part removed from the sides of the bed. Thanks for the link!

why did it need inspection? did they notice at emissions?

i'm just wondering because i have registered vehicles that had been sitting for years without an inspection, but i'm emission exempt where i live.

Wow, yeah, that would look awesome. You might as well while you are doing the body work there anyway. Hell, if you can't afford poppers right now just shave the passenger side. :DThe truck is looking good man. Keep up the good work!

Looks awesome! :waytogo: I've heard from quite a few people that shaved handles on a daily is more annoying then anything else. Is it a daily?
