my buddy works at a caddillac dealer painting, and he just brings back a bunch of extra paint, so his brother mixed up a bunch of black and silvers, and that's what he came out with.
looks killer man, just enough flake not to turn the black silver. and a great looking job clearing as well. you get it cut and buffed yet. my wife works at an automotive paint store and i do custom painting in my garage, i get paint for almost free, dont you just love have'n friends (in my case, wife) in the paint industry, the bike im painting, the paint alone was 2k not including reducer and clear, i got it for 200 with clear and all the reducers for it
the amount i paid for paint, clear, primer, filler, finishing putty, everything else needed, AND labor (i did some bodywork too) was around $700...... i don't think that's toooo bad of a price
got the frame painted tonight!!!! when with a metallic silver that should flow really good with the new color. here's a few pics, let me know what you think....
i thought painting the frame was a bitch, but painting the roll cage was a whole nother level. i don't think i'm ever going to paint that again. but here it is, still wet.... think i will look good surrounded by black fur
the truck's getting painted tomorrow night, then hopefully have it back together on friday. we got it in primer tonight, everything taped off, and the jams sprayed. here's a few pics, and the really good news...................................... ABSOLUTELY NO LIME GREEN that you can see. the engine bay's the only thing left, but here's the pics
