damn. that looks slick. i like it. what are you charging people do do these? i used to do the same out of my garage. never do a shackle swap on a chevy! totally not worth the money. your neighbors will hate your grinder, and all those GM rivots. lol.
im doin em for around $140 each truck...... (depending on the request) considering time effort and my methods..... im makin out ok and its easier for people to commit for the price in a shorter time span.
Yeah I did mine for like $75-100 plus parts. I would get all sorts of requests. Like guys wanting to tow 60s wagons 75 miles to my "shop". Which I tried to explain to them was a 1 car garage at an apartment complex. I had to turn down more work than I got. Thats craigslist for ya. Haha. I never thought of posting the idea on forums though. I should get around to that more this summer. Might tie it into my business cards idea. And drop them on every clean looking (or any condition toyota) minitruck I can find out and about. Since they are all basically the same underneath.
yea....... gonna try and get some business cards made..... not sure what or how to desighn them.... $140 is including hardware..... ( i get a discount on the hardware so the $40 goes into the hardware....blocks and b/j flip spacers) to most people its worth it..... as of late LOTS of old yotas have been poppin up around here in SD for some reason and people are just getting back into the minitruck scene again.....
Well seeing a lot of sweet old toyota spawns other people to want one too, so it pretty much propagates itself. I had a Mercedes specializing tow truck driver pull up to me in a parking lot today. He had a badass rollback. Had the deck modified with a swoop tail to help low stuff get on. Anyways, he asked if he could take a few photos of my truck. Of course I obliged, and he went on to tell me that his son has an 82 he wants to lower and trick out like that. I told him about the site, and to message me on here to have me help him take a look at it. I may just have to start rocking my old logo on the back window again. I love money, but I also love seeing more cool mini trucks static'd cruisin' around town. The make and model don't even matter, I just like seeing low stuff haha.
yeah...... i appreciate all minitrucks........ even fords...... no really........ theyre about the only true "minitruck" style truck left out there on the market anymore...... even them hideous rebadged new s-10's are gettin big..... no one builds minnitrucks anymore
Yeah....rangers are sweet looking in the first gen boxes. The rest aren't bad. But fords are just camber jokes to me. I wouldn't drive one.
i unfortunately drive one for the company but, its not bad..... they actually drift quite well considering the automatics mated to their annemicly powered 2.3 140 horse motors
Again...its all in the blind-man designed camber changes. +10* positive at half lock, -37* at 3" lowered lol
oh yes........ ive seen the joke that is their camber. you want real bad.... go look at their econoline vans! BWAHAHAHAAHAA!!!!!
my toyota with barely any ground clearance, gets less camber than a stock 2wd ford from the 80s at full lock on the outer wheel. sadly, i know this since we part them out alot. lol.
No its not. If stupid people want to give me money for parts to keep a ford going, I'm okay with that. I got a guy buyin $300 worth of 70s dodge crap tomorrow. Its good side money though. ANNNNYYWAYS. keep posting up all the trucks you drop. its good motivation for people to do their own.
quite so...... people should do their own and take pride, but not all guys have the know how space or tools sometimes so i give em an easy cheap option to join in on the lowered scene fun
