Yeah the second one is a cropped image of a truck i found on a google search then just added your club title. It is actually just etched on a piece of paper and that is why it is tan in color. The laser will actually burn the paper.
I like it cause those look like the chevy irocs that i want to get. But i dont think they would fit my truck
So i spent all weekend trying to remove the crappy paint off my new rims. I found out that they still had the stock paint and primer then someone painted them black with primer then painted them silver with primer. So some areas i swear it was a 1/2" thick of paint. This is after using Jasco to remove some of the paint This is the Jasco at work on the thick paint This is showing the difference between the polished and the painted This one is half done. I have have of the rim with all the paint removed before polishing and the other half still has paint on it that i need to remove. here is the finished rim, i have not applied any aluminum polish and the picture does not do justice. The rim looks 10 times better then when i bought it. And a test fit on the truck before the drop. The drop kit should be here this week.
I am getting excited. I should be able to have the truck on the road in a month and in a few months painted.
They are 350z rims v2 I believe. You can see more pictures of them on MacRibs truck. I saw them on these thread and loved them and a few weeks later came across a set for a good price so I picked them up. Here is the thread: http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/build-up-project-threads-25/lil-red-second-chance-1965/index16.html
My drop should be pretty close to the same as Macribs but maybe and 1 or so away. I dont have the ability to do the notch right now. It is in the future though. The drop spindles arrived today and the blocks should be here today or tomorrow.
I dont have any tires to put the rims. 3 rims have really really bad tires and the 4th rim doesnt have a tire. plus i gotta finish up the polishing of the rims. I have 1 rim left.
It sucks that the tires are much much more expensive. I did get one more rim finished last night so I am down to my last one and should have it finished by tomorrow. I am hoping to get my drop on this weekend though.
Oh I wish i could slam it but i do not have the ability to put on bags and notch it or body drop it. I have a long ways to go for that.
i just pulled out the old shag from my truck today, and found a nasty lil surprise in the driver side foot well. but, what i wanted to know was what carpet u used. Need to get some and was wondering where to get and which kind.
I finally finished the polishing of the rims. After tons and tons of removal or layers of paint and primer and hand sanding. Here is a before and after. They are not profesionally polished but they are better then when i got them so I am happy. The previous owner of the rims did a hack job on them. I also received my drop kit(Belltech Spindles and 4" angled blocks) I sure hope to put them on soon. The problem right now is my drive way is gravel and it is very wet and soft. The jack stands might sink and be gone forever. I am still trying to finish a few pieces of the interior, I am waiting on it to get warm to paint and a few other things. I should be able to have the interior finished, tires and wheels on, and dropped in a few weeks all depending on weather.
