Where did you get the carpet from? You might want to look into some sound deading material before you finish the carpet and seats. Looking good though. Where is the radio?
The only things holding me back for the build is money and the cold. I can only handle working in 10 degree weather for so long. The carpet is not all the way in i did some of it to get it out of my house. I will get some sound deading material before i finish. I didnt think of it until you mentioned it. Thanks for the idea. I got the carpet from Home Depot. It is indoor outdoor carpet and it is cheap but nice, i paid $30 for it. I have used this carpet for a few different vehicles and really like it. The stereo is sitting in the bed of the truck. It is some cheap sony deck and i want to replace it.
nice job on the paseo seats!!, my 73 truck actually has a paseo steering wheel. and I was going to pick up a set of paseo seats for my 83 corolla but never have because the stock seats are actually comfortable.
I love the paseo seats, they are comparable to the old CRX SI seats i had in my 81 toyota pickup. I went with the flat carpet mainly because of the price. It was less then 30 bucks for all or the carpet and there is a lot extra that i can use else where. All you need to mold it yourself is time and a sharp razor. Once it is finished you wont even be able to tell. I need to finish the seats. It is bothering me they are sitting there purple in color. I need a warm day.
I was short on money and had to sell my 81 toyota with the CRX seats in it. I sold the truck for $250. I was out a lot of money on that deal.
I am thinking about putting some sort of dynamat in but i was curious if i should put some on the back of the cab behind the seats too? What would you suggest the floor, and doors?
yeah my roommate at the time cost me about 1600 bucks in a 48 hour period. I am back on top now though.
So I found some decent RX8 18 inch rims for sale for $300 bucks. Here is the description of them: Mazda RX8 OE Wheels 18" 225 45 18 Bolt Pattern: 5 114 Does anyone what precautions I would need to take if i got these wheels? What lug nuts do I need?
I do the floor, back wall, fire wall, roof. And the doors inside and out. And you won't hear any road sounds at all
Thanks I will probably start that this weekend. I could probably do the floor, doors, and back wall this weekend. I will save the roof for later.
