Haha I am short on money and knowledge to do it. The motor in my truck might need to either be replaced or rebuilt so i gotta decide. Also I do not want to through the weight off in the front and would like to keep it a 4 banger. I just need more information on good motor swaps and what it would take.

Honestly the motor wouldnt be that much weight difference maybe 60Lbs tops. Find a metal fabricator and become friends with him wait a year then be like hey man I got these tail lights and stuff maybe we could put in my truck.

Haha i do need to find a metal fabricator friend. I will post something in the For Sale section something like this:

WTB(Want To Buy) a metal fabricator as friend, will pay in ice cold beer and yummy dutchoven potatoes and BBQ pork. Please send PM.

I am not sure what model the emblem came off of but i am leaning towards an is300 trunk emblem.

Oh i didnt know the 1UZ was all aluminum, damn now i gotta find a fabricator bad. Or someone that could help me put it in and help me find a motor. Maybe i should post WTB friend that can do everything! I am pretty good at holding the flash light though.

man i'm jealous as heck-olla and mine is bagged. but i think it might have something to do with the fact that you can actually drive your right now and i've got a few months or weeks left.

oh no... of this thing isn't running by august 20th (sittin' pretti's summer slam) then i may just tie it to my leg and jump off the freemont bridge here in portland (i hear it has the highest suicide rate of any bridge in the u.s.) o.k. i wouldn't but man how depressing to get it up and running and having to wait at least 7 months to get to actually show it..... that would just be mortifying to me. i'd cry like a little girl, i'm kinda tearing up right now thinking about it (not really but kinda-inside anyway) i guess on the bright side is at least i'd have my mini to drive which is the point anyway since i had to sell my last one (pics in 1st post) for less than its weight in air. i may as well have give n it away. funny thing is i have a better mini now and i still kinda miss that one.

truck is looking good man... I'm gonna post some pics and info as I put my 1uz in.. Ive got it in just gotta start mounts wiring yada yada... Havent been working on it alot since we just had our second child on the 18th of last month and the guy helping with the swap works off shore but when he comes back in I will start a write up on it.. The thing I would recomend is search hard for a car that is wrecked for cheap so you can have all the wiring and etc that you dont get with a ebay jdm motor.. I scored my donor car for 500 but the motor has about 175k on it but it was still worth it to me because it runs good and if worst case scenario even if I have to eventually buy a jdm motor it will then just drop in... Hope that ramble mad sense

So I took the grinder to a few bolts on the underside of my fenders and the rubbing pretty much stopped. I havent pushed my limit yet but a half inch of clearance seem to make a big difference.
