Haha i did the seats. The back rest that is in plaid is a separate piece and i cut a piece of plaid about 4 inches bigger and each side and stuffed the excess in behind it. The piece is held in there so tight that it will not budge. Then that way if something happened like they did get dirty i can pull the dirty piece off and replace it pretty easy.

So I forgot to install the seat belt buckles and had to unbolt some of the bolts holding the seats down and move the carpet back to put the seat belt buckles in. It was a pain in the ass. I finally trimmed the carpet to fit, put the seats and seat belts in, and removed the ugly spare tire.

Does everyone rock it with no spare tire? The bagged guys gotta be missing the spare tire. I am thinking about building a spare tire mount in the back like a trophy truck or something. What does everyone think?

I think it's a great idea. If your gonna carry a spare around, you should show it off as a matching 5th wheel at least.

Yeah that is my ultimate plan but i need to find another rim for that. I was thinking just the stock rim but repainted so it doesnt look so bad.

Did you see I got the rims on? Replacing the lug studs was not hard at all once I found someone that knew what they were doing. I am still so new to all this.

    Yes I did

Your truck is looking pretty tuff. I like. Don't forget to adjust your turn stops up front. I learned that the hard way with those rims. I was constantly losing some meat on my front tires due to rubbing when bustin U's.

    So whats' next?

Ah I see! Thanks for the tip. I do not think I have tightened the turn stops all the way for that reason. I havent been able to adjust it yet because the alignment is way off because of the drop spindles. This friday I am hoping to get the alignment done. It has been drove about 10 feet through gravel and grass to avoid destroying the new tires.

very nice work on the interior man. truck is lookin really good! :headbang:

you should be safe running the wheel spacers with the longer studs. we did this to Macrib's truck and he never had any issues for 2 years. then he got them honed out so he could tuck them in closer. only issue is the front caps wont fit over the wheels when they get honed out on the front due to the dust cover.

Thanks SD YOTA! I did get the longer lug studs and have not see a problem. The back wheels do not have any spacers because it might be a little tougher to replace the lug studs. I was a little nervous to hone out the lug holes and run tuner lugs but they seem to be ok for right now. I might eventually replace the lug studs in the back to get the wheels a little more even. You can not tell a difference right now.
I have a few more things to finish in the interior and get a spray bedliner. I need to get the truck repainted soon too. There is a few paint blemishes that need to be fixed. Once these are done the truck should be sitting pretty.

I did a couple more things to the interior. I did the glove box handle and hood release in plaid, installed the stereo and removed the ugly black stripping from the rear wheel wells.

I noticed the plate under the leaf springs was extremely close to my rims. I decided to round them off with a grind to avoid any problems. Now there is about a 1/4 of an inch clearance.

Just a thought. You should pull that wheel off and paint the drum brake. Or cover it in plaid lol jk jk

Yeah the drum stands out like a sore thumb. I want to paint it but it has not been above 40 degrees in weeks except yesterday and no where is open on sundays. That is one of my plans for this week. I need to get it done bad. I would like to cover it in plaid but i dont think it will work out. haha

Oh thanks dood! I have been keeping an eye on yours. I like the color and interior. I almost painted mine that green or similar to it but that is too much work for now.

    Thanks Cinnammon!

I drove my truck for the first time since i bought it over a year ago. It was so awesome to be able to drive it but i have never drove a lowered truck before and dragged a few times. I think the bolt that bolts the front sway bar on and I even dragged the back u bolts once too. My turning radius isnt so good with the wheels. Is it pretty common to drag? haha i guess it will take some getting use too.

Ya u will get used to it after a while and you will start to get to know your roads. When to move over to the right and when to go to the left. Also what angle to take the dips and bumps at. It will all come to you after you drive for a while. Nice looking truck by the way. Well done in side

I have hit my ubolts too, well the part of the bolt that sticks out after the nut, it sux! I hate how it rides I really want to put a basic air bag kit with a notch out back to smooth it out, in the meantime i took a cutoff wheel to it and drive cautiously on rough terrain/streets

So i drag the u bolts once but was understandable. I had to cut a driveway short. I noticed my sway bar is not rubbing it is just my tires hitting the engine bay on dips. I just gotta drive safer or take a BFH to it.

Also I might be getting some valve flutteror just some random shield or something. it only happens at certain RPMs or certain situations. It did it while driving randomly. I can not get it to do it while at sitting. Does anyone of know what this could be or how to fix it? I will probably start another thread for this question.

Drove my truck into work today. It is a 30 mile drive and the truck rides so nice on the highway. It is smooth, quiet, and amazing. It feels like i can literally cruise the vistas.
