I personally will vote for the Flowmaster muffler. (get the american thunder/original series not the dela flow crap) and as for the springs question thats a use type question some have gone all the way down to a single leaf (very top one)

There should be 3 leafs per side. U take out the middle one. leaving only the long main leaf(which attatches the the frame) And the short stubby overload leaf

Coils, leaf springs and airbags all serve the same purpose. I have seen people with mono leafs and bags working together. I don't know if it would be very strong with just a mono leaf and that's all.

so if i pull one leaf and went to 4in blocks instead of 3in blocks then thats the lowest i can go without notching it.

Sawzall is a pretty quick way to cut the bumpstops; you don't even have to take them off the truck.

lmfao, trimming the bumpstops when you lower the rear is a MUST! either trim or remove it. I removed mine in the rear.

if u dnt wanna notch i say run 3inch block with removed middle leaf..because it leaves you with 1 inch of play(better then none) with bumpstops removed....if you run 4inch block and removed middle leaf you will need a c notch or you will need to run a skinny slipper between your frame and axle but the ride will suck. i say go the c notch way if you plan on staying static..if you plan on bags i say save your money and keep the 3inch block and removed middle leaf and bumpstop.

k finallyi got some other stuff done to it not much but its something. Took the tailgate off and put a net on for now so i can practice on how to do some body work and whats a better spot to start then the tailgate.
since i had the sander out i sanded the stock tip to give a little shine to it. better then the rusty look.
then i didnt like the way it set in back and wanted to go lower then just 3in blocks so i pulled the middle leaf.
so here is how low it is to the ground. Still not as low as i want to go but hey it works.

This past weakend i got to take a nice drive up the great Ortega mountains and met up with TRAP from TM on here and picked up this guy. Dont mind how dirty the engine looks and the intake looks, hopefully this next weekend i will get a chance to shine it up alittle.

Thanks TRAP and for sure send me pics of the other stuff when you get a chance. Hope you guys like , i no its not much but its coming along.:waytogo:

Nice side pic of your truck dropped. If you want to go lower I have some 4 inch blocks I can sell you. The only thing is that your going to have to get it notched because that low I know youll be hitting frame. Now are you on 14s right now? If you are or not youll need to get some low profile tires, meaning the current ones on your truck have a bit too much rubber. This will cure some tire rubbing issues. Hit up SD Yota he has done some great work dropping trucks on this site. I currently working on my 82 and its going to have a 6/8 static drop. Heres my Tacoma currently at a 6/7 drop with minimal tire rubbing in the front for reference.
