You should shorten the front of the bed like this guy did... I believe he's a member here but forgot his name...
He put the xtracab on a std truck frame and shorten the bed

 

frame is already built , an cab is on .. IF I bob it , it will be the back end being cut

I still have whats left of that truck, I had a lot of fun with that truck. I have another cab and want to finish it one day. The sunroof is rusted pretty bad and I cut most of the firewall to do a 7mgte swap. Wound up having too many kids to finish it. I'm thinking about doing a single turbo LS1 in it now.

sadly no .. we have had a major shop expansion this summer , so production is a little backed up .

the good thing is .. she has her own dedicated space ... I hope to get back on her very soon

i'm watching...

 

finally some work on my 2wd
after sweeping an inch of dust off .. got a plan in mind .
I need to get the body positioned in order to work on the flip front , as well as the rest . So off came the "fatties" and got a few "hangers" in place to hold the body where I need it to be .

as well as figuring out the correct back spacing for the wheels ..











cool thing is , it's still on the dollies , so it's still movable

With your fenders, i'm sure you can go a bit wider with the wheels if you wanted. what's the wheel specifications you're looking at?
