so over the last week , I have been building my repair panels and today I was able to get them burnt in , rears as well

now with the rockers repaired , I was able to get the cab height finalized @ 9" from the rockers to the Ground . + I also started on the cab mounts
Because there are only going to be 4 mounts instead of 6 , I wanted to make sure there were going to be strong .
cut out some 3/16" plate and surrounded it with some tube
    [IMG]

Tacked into place I will add some more supports later , when I turn the frame over .

1 more front frame mount tomorrow , then I can get on the front cab mount

    and cab side mount

Bent up some 1/2" solid stock with the 3/16" plate . as well as a "fish plate" for the cab side , 1/2" stock actually goes threw the fish plate for a stronger "plug" weld , and a toyota stock body mount bushing , I now have the front mounted

and now the front of the cab is mounted
still have some supports and final welding to do when I can turn over the frame , but for now it's good to go

also .. the cab now has it final "stance"

When you get done with this build we got to meet up! I want to see this thing in person! I just wish I had the time and money to go to coil-overs on my truck but being in the military stops me there. And I need to learn more fab skills.

My truck under the Knife right now for the fuel system. but can not wait to get my baby back and get it tuned.

cool .. there are much easier ways to do it then what I'm doing . The aftermarket has way smaller/shorter coil overs that would make things much easier .. easy is not my plan though as I want to utalize some of the "functions" of the factory supra
keep watch , and hopefully , with the pics .. it will help , and one day you can do it yourself

Very beautiful slacker, nice to see it's coming together!

as for the front fenders, since you wanted to run those wheels, how about remold the fenders to slightly angle that way it'll keep the same look and still let the wheels and tires go in if they need to?

I am going to replace tires and wheels .. so I can always change backspacing .. wheel travel shouldnt be a problem . What I want is the FATEST tire I can possably fit under there

Man that looks good.... Any thoughts on shorting up the xtra cab window? So the bottom of the glass is lined up even with the door glass. I never thought they flowed well from factory.

thanks .. and yes .. I have been "thinking" of the best to deal with this . I was going to make that window power , up and down , like the fronts .. but I may run in to some issues with the suiside door hinges .. I know this dosnt address the "style' .. but I think it would be just pure cool !!
+ it'll match the rear power 4runner window i'm going to do in the rear :)

still have to decide if i'm going to "chop" the top .. have to decide this soon

    OR

a complete , removable hard top type conversion
