yes you can beat in the dust cap, 1/4 to 1/2in is possible.



its REAL easy to figure out how much room you have.

take the dust cap off, measure the height from the lip to the crown

then measure from the hub dust cap mounting surface to the top of the wheel bearing nut.

the difference is the room you have.


you can also change the way the cotter pin is bent over the nut, instead wrap the ends around the nut instead of over it for a bit more clearance.

 

Dent the dust caps get a 1/4 inch spacer and ride it.
