Does anyone have a resource to show me the steps to remove the gas tank on my 1977 base pickup? It has been sitting for more than two years, so I need to drain the gas and clean the tank. Thanks!

I would remove the bed as this will make the job much easier!

Thanks- another person made the same suggestion off line. I will try that and clean up the frame while it is exposed.

I removed the tank, cleaned and reinstalled it. I noticed a male spade about 1/4" wide mounted on the top of the tank that did not have any wiring running to it- is this a ground wire for the tank? The sending unit wiring has both positive and negative wires, so I thought it might be an extra (safety) ground.
