No problem, man. In all honesty, I've yet to run into a true a-hole / keyboard warrior here. Ironically, the ones you might consider "wise-a**es" are some of the more experienced, therefore the most helpful.

In my book, they've earned their stripes having done what I am only now "trying" to do, so if they have got vital information that can help - I could careless how they deliver the info - as long as it keeps me on the road. Feel me? :)

In short, you're in very good company.

Like Shonuff said its part of the emmisions equipment. On my 1980 truck Its part of the Air injection system. The sensor goes to the computer. What it does is tell the computer when the cat gets above 1445 deg F, so it can divert the fresh air bieng pumped into the exaust, to the air cleaner. letting the cat cool down. My AI is gone, as is the cat which was replaced with a straight pipe.

I got more power gain IMHO from removing my cat than the TRD header I run...

Currently it goes from my header to a muffler I cut out of an 04GTO exhaust 3" pipe header back I also shortened my intake and moved the battery to the driver side... also I am running a celica AFM with the 3"/2.75"

it breathes good now and since I like to shift over 5000rpm it works for me :D

for those of you that thought it was a 02 sensor and said just pull it out Ill give you a little heads up of what the 02 dose it reads the exahust temp and in turn the computer desides wether to richin up the fuel mix or to lean it out and by removing it or putting in a straitpipe with out doing anything with it the computer sees the cat not getting warm so it will try and lean out the fuel to heat it up

just giving you all a little insight:waytogo:
